San Francisco should not have to deal with power that is among the most costly in the nation. Solutions should not endanger the health of its citizens or the environment. Policy should focus on alternative and renewable energy sources, including wind energy and hydrogen fuel cells. Furthermore, we need to plan for future energy needs, including improvements to the grid, while systematically requiring energy efficiencies. Finally, the existing laws against market manipulation and collusion must be enforced.
