The Presidio

The Presidio Trust Act will turn our national park into a business park. The plan that the public was sold on is not the plan of today. The new vision is to make the Presidio a pioneering for-profit venture. However, this experiment only harms San Francisco. The city will not receive any of the revenue, only an unmanageable increase in traffic. With the current plan, we will not only lose a living historical record of a San Francisco of yesterday and an essential part of this beautiful and admired City of today, but also sacrifice the very nature and character that defines San Francisco, and the quality of life we have created here.
